Students participated in a series of science and mathematics workshops and were able to hear from leading scientists who discussed their work.
Professor Warren Lawrance, the Executive Dean of the Science and Engineering, opened the day and outlined the benefits of participating in the SMAF program.
Professor John Arkwright followed with an interesting presentation on fibre optics, as well talking about his pathway into engineering.
Professor Jamie Quinton spoke to students about how studying science and mathematics can lead to a fascinating career, and help solve some of the major problems facing the world today.
Students then attended different STEM workshops:
Real CSI with Dr Shane Tobe (Vice Chancellor's Post-doctoral Fellow )
